16-time World Champion John Cena complimented WWE United States Champion Theory over a month back and said that the youngest WWE United States Champion in the history of WWE has far more talent, strength and gifts than he ever had and Theory should not apologize for that. There were even reports that WWE CEO Vince McMahon sees a young John Cena in Theory and is very high on the reigning WWE United States Champion.
Theory, who captured the WWE United States Title from Finn Balor on an episode of WWE RAW a number of months back and who has claimed to be a better WWE United States Champion than 16-time World Champion John Cena, has been in a back and forth with John Cena and teased a possible showdown between himself and the 16-time World Champion at the WWE SummerSlam Premium Live Event and with John Cena making his highly-anticipated return on the June 27th episode of WWE RAW as a celebration of his 20 years in the pro wrestling industry, it is possible that we may see a confrontation between Theory and Cena on the show.
WWE United States Champion Theory recently spoke with Ryan Satin on the "Out of Character" podcast on a number of topics, including how everything he has been doing just seems to be flying by such as WWE NXT, Survivor Series, Royal Rumble and WrestleMania as well as how this could all lead to him and the 16-time World Champion John Cena interacting when Cena returns.
Theory said:
“Each week just seems like it flies by. I feel like I just was doing NXT and The Way, then I was doing Survivor Series and the Royal Rumble, then I was with Pat McAfee at WrestleMania, getting a Stunner by Stone Cold, main eventing MSG with Brock Lesnar, it’s been wild and happening fast. I don’t even think it’s been a year. I think we all have a feeling that this interaction is going to happen very soon. Could it be when John Cena returns? I don’t see why not.”
