TNA News: Mustafa Ali, Matt Cardona Return, WWE Hall Of Famers Make Appearances, more

Below are various TNA news and notes coming out of last night's live episode of TNA IMPACT:

  • After appearing throughout 2024 on a per appearance basis, Mustafa Ali made his return to TNA and this time he said he has signed a contract. He picked up where he left off continuing to use the politician persona that he has used since leaving WWE.
  • Ali wasn't the only returnee at last night's show as Matt Cardona is also back. In a surprise return, Cardona challenged Joe Hendry for the TNA World Championship in a match where Hendry retained.
  • WWE Hall of Famer Tully Blanchard was in attendance and was actually shown on camera during a segment in which his daughter Tessa was cutting a promo talking about her family. There was apparently some footage filmed with Tully and Tessa that TNA is looking to use in the future.

  • Another WWE Hall of Famer JBL also made an appearance during last night's episode. JBL came out during the Joe Hendry vs. Matt Cardona match. JBL laid out Cardona, leaving questions surrounding his intentions and relationship with Hendry.
  • TNA officials were said to be "very happy" with tonight's rare live broadcast of TV, feeling that they pulled it off without any major issues. PWInsider.com reported that TNA is hoping to do deliver on a live episode of TNA iMPACT TV about once a month though that is not confirmed.
