A contract update on one of WWE's biggest prospects.
Oba Femi has been absent from WWE NXT programming ever since he lost the North American Championship to Tony D'Angelo at the Halloween Havoc premium live event back in October. While some fans were concerned that Femi was departing WWE, a new report reveals that there is no cause for concern.
According to Fightful Select, a source in NXT stated that they would be "shocked" if WWE didn't extend the deal that Femi originally signed for the yellow-and-black brand back in 2021. Prior reports have revealed that the Nigerian superstar had impressed NXT officials, particularly WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels, who runs NXT creative.
It has been previously reported that Femi was back in his homecountry of Nigeria.
