WrestleCon Reveals That TNA President Carlos Silva Reimbursed Them For Leon Slater's Expenses

Earlier this month, a story came out that revealed that TNA President Carlos Silva pulled several of his talent off of upcoming indie events in which they were scheduled to take on AEW talent, notably Leon Slater who was set to face Ricochet at WrestleCon on April 16.

Silva predictably received a ton of backlash from both wrestlers, fans and promoters for his strict stance especially since it was made with very little notice, however, today the script was flipped a bit with WrestleCon coming forward to praise Silva for sticking to his word:

"He took a beating the last few weeks, so I want to give @carlossilva his props today. A week ago, he called me personally to explain his reasoning for pulling the match. He then asked if there was anything he could do to make up for it. I simply asked that he reimburse me for Leon's flights/hotel since he was no longer wrestling for us. Today, I was reimbursed for the flight/hotel as promised. Thank you Carlos."
