WWE Announces John Cena Will Make His SmackDown Return, Matches At Rolling Loud

As previously reported, immediately following the main event of last Sunday night's Money in the Bank PPV Event, where WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns successfully retained his title against WWE Hall of Famer Edge thanks to Seth Rollins and The Usos interfering in the match on two separate occasions, WWE legend and 16-time World Champion John Cena made his return and confronted WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.

John Cena then made his return on RAW last night and kicked off the show by taking a shot at The Head Of The Table and calling him out for a match at SummerSlam. John Cena talked about headlining a major SummerSlam PPV Event and achieving a potential record-breaking 17th World Title win, but he also said he came back to WWE to challenge Reigns, because Reigns is an a-----e. Cena then said Reigns needs to be knocked down a peg and “this pathetic Roman Reigns Experience” has gone on long enough. Cena would then end his promo by warning Reigns that he will be at Friday’s SmackDown, and that he can’t wait to see Reigns.

Speaking of John Cena making an appearance on SmackDown, WWE recently announced that Cena will indeed be making his blue brand return on this Friday's episode, but there is no word yet on which venue the 16-time World Champion will be at as SmackDown this Friday is set to take place from two venues – the Rolling Loud rap festival in Miami, and the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, Ohio.

It was also announced by WWE that Mr. Money in the Bank Big E will go up against WWE Intercontinental Champion Apollo Crews, but it wasn't announced if Apollo's title will be on the line. That match will take place from Rolling Loud and so will Carmella vs. SmackDown Women’s Champion Bianca Belair.
