As previously reported, last night's SmackDOwn saw Otis debut a new clean-shaven look which completed his heel turn. A Tag Team Match was then initially announced to take place, but there was a backstage segment, where Gable apologized for Otis' actions from last week, and a Singles Match was made, where Gable and Ford will face each other, while Otis and Angelo Dawkins will remain backstage.
Otis then ended up destroying Angelo Dawkins in the backstage area and Montez Ford in the ring to see the match end in a DQ. An update was recently provided by WWE that due to the attack by Otis, Ford is now injured and has suffered a partial rib fracture and torn intercostal cartilage. It was also noted that Montez Ford is being evaluated at a local medical facility and if there are any updates it'll be given at a later time.
There’s no word yet on what WWE has planned for The Street Profits' feud with the Alpha Academy next, or if Montez Ford will miss any in-ring action, but updates will be provided as it becomes available.
