WWE Announces Stipulation For The AJ Styles vs. Edge Match At WWE WrestleMania Backlash

As previously reported, WWE Hall of Famer Edge and Damian Priest were featured in a backstage segment on an episode of WWE Monday Night RAW two weeks ago, where Edge issued a challenge to "The Phenomenal One" AJ Styles for a Singles Match at WWE WrestleMania Backlash. Later on that episode of RAW, Styles was interviewed by Sarah Schreiber and he accepted Edge's challenge for WWE WrestleMania Backlash.

Last night's episode of WWE RAW saw a one-on-one match take place between AJ Styles and Damian Priest and per the stipulation of Styles defeating Priest, Priest is now banned from ringside for AJ Styles' match against Edge at WWE WrestleMania Backlash. After the match, Styles was double teamed by the WWE Hall of Famer Edge and Damian Priest until Finn Balor made his way out and evened the odds.

WWE Hall of Famer Edge and Damian Priest, who are now called Judgement Day, have been feuding with AJ for a number of weeks now since WWE WrestleMania 38 and Judgement Day have also had their differences with Finn Balor, so it's only fitting that the former Bullet Club members are teaming up against Edge and Priest. It has been mentioned that a female member will be joining the stable, most probably Rhea Ripley, but there’s no word yet on if WWE will have their join the group at WWE WrestleMania Backlash now that Priest is banned from ringside.

This is a rematch from Night Two of WWE WrestleMania 38, where WWE Hall of Famer Edge defeated Styles due to a distraction from Damian Priest. The following night on RAW, Damian Priest and Edge formed an alliance and has since been targeting The Phenomenal One.

WWE WrestleMania Backlash is set to take place on Sunday, May 8th inside the Dunkin’ Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island.
