WWE Injury News Update On Penta, Dominik Mysterio & Jacob Fatu

Below are various WWE news and notes pertaining to stars sidelined due to injury:

  • Jacob Fatu continues to recover from dental surgery and according to bodyslam.net, he is still scheduled to return to WWE TV in the early part of 2026. Prior to suffering the injury which ended up requiring WWE to run an injury angle on TV, the company was priming Fatu for a breakthrough 2026 campaign and it appears those plans would still be in place.
  • Dominik Mysterio suffered a shoulder injury at the AAA Guerra de Titanes event on December 20. He was subsequently pulled from live events the following week but appeared on WWE TV since those shows were taped in advance and prior to the injury. Bodyslam.net noted that Mysterio is in "good spirits" backstage following the injury scare and it appears that the company is keeping him out of the ring out of an abundance of caution.
  • WWE star Penta suffered a shoulder injury of his own over a month ago on the November 24th Raw. He attempted to aggressively rehab the injury in order to be able to wrestle at AAA Guerra de Titanes but ultimately was not cleared to wrestle but did make an appearance at the show. Bodyslam.net reported that WWE is hoping that all restrictions on Penta are lifted in time for the Royal Rumble next month. The report noted that if WWE wasn't confident in Penta's rehab and recovery and his imminent return, they would have nixed his participation at the AAA event.
