WWE Intercontinental Title Changes Hands At WrestleMania 37 Night Two, WWE Star Debuts With A New Gimmick

Night Two of WrestleMania 37 saw the WWE Intercontinental Title change hands, when Apollo Crews won a Nigerian Drum Fight over Big E. The Intercontinental Title Match was contested under No DQ rules, and it featured a number of items such as tables, large drums and brass gongs at ringside, along with the kendo sticks. This is the first time for Crews to become the WWE Intercontinental Champion. Big E won the Intercontinental Title back on the December 25th episode of SmackDown by defeating Sami Zayn in a Lumberjack Match.

Apollo Crews won the match with help of the former Dabba-Kato, who has debuted under his new gimmick. WWE reportedly had plans for the RAW Star, who is apparently now a member of the SmackDown brand. The reports mentioned that Dabba-Kato's new name could either be β€œCommador Azeez” or β€œAzez,” but there is no word yet as of this writing.
