This past Wednesday, WWE released a total of six talents, which includes Lana, Buddy Murphy, Aleister Black, Braun Strowman, Santana Garrett and Ruby Riott reportedly due to budget cuts. Speaking of Ruby Riott, she posted a lengthy and emotional statement on her Instagram following her WWE release, which got the attention of WWE legend The Rock.
The Rock took to his Twitter and sent an encouraging message to former WWE Star Ruby Riott. He wrote, "You will resurface. Stronger, wiser & better. (Thank you for the awesome birthday vid)"
Ruby Riott's non-compete clause with the WWE is set to expire on August 31st, after which she will be free to sign with any other pro wrestling promotion she chooses to.
