WWE Monday Night Raw Live Results (10/26/2020) - ThunderDome, Orlando, FL
Video Package: Hell in a Cell Recap
We start our program with a roughly three minute video package from last night's Hell in a Cell pay per view event. Randy Orton and Drew are featured, having battled inside, on top of and outside of the Cell. McIntyre went through the announcer's table at one point. The match ended with Randy Orton proving victorious. We then get the new Raw opening video with the new hip hop Raw them.
In the Ring: Drew McIntyre
The former WWE Champion makes his way out to the ring in his usual street clothes. Byron Saxton and Michael Cole's evil clone discuss McIntyre's loss last night and state that he must move forward. Saxton questions if this is a broken man. Drew gets on the mic. He informs us that he's trying to think of the words to express how he feels for losing to Orton last night. He says that he has no excuses, just one promise--that he will be WWE Champion once again. He then goes on to quote Rocky, specifically "it's not about how hard you hit; it's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward." He reminds us that every time Drew McIntyre gets knocked down, he bounces back twice as stronger. He tells us that getting thrown off the Hell in a Cell cage and going through the announcer's table hurt like hell. He is then interrupted by new Mr. Money in the Bank The Miz & John Morrison.
Miz yells bravo, bravo, and tells everyone to bow and ask for an encore. Miz and Morrison make their way to the ring and slowly climb into the ring. Morrison tells Drew that his reign as WWE Champion was impressive, and Miz states what's even more impressive is being a two-time Mr. Money in the Bank. They go on to continue to antagonize Drew. Miz holds up the case, twirling in the ring while telling the booing "crowd" and Drew that Drew doesn't have to worry about taking the WWE Championship back from Randy Orton because Miz is the MitB contract holder after defeating Otis last night. Miz runs his mouth off at ninety miles an hour, so here's a summary: Miz brags about his hot wife, defeating Otis, some passive aggressive comments, etc. Miz then claims that if Drew had hypothetically won last night, he'd have found himself outnumbered (by Miz & Morrison). The Miz then says that he'd have cashed in and Drew wouldn't be champion tonight so, no matter what had happened last night, Drew wouldn't be the champion. Morrison makes a joke about McIntyre taking so long to win the championship, and it'll be another nineteen years before he gets another shot. Drew lays out the Miz. Morrison holds a hand up and adopts a Scottish accent, claiming he and Drew both like to talk like that--and Drew lays him out! Miz & Morrison move out of the ring. Morrison distracts McIntyre for the Miz to attack Drew from behind, taking his knee out from him. The Miz and Morrison then flee up the ramp. We see that Drew's shoes have Morrison's sunshades stuck to the bottom of them. McIntyre tells them that it's going to be a very bad night for them. We then have our announced card hyped for tonight.
In the Ring Promo: AJ Styles w/ Jordan Omogbehin
AJ Styles comes out to the ring first to a mostly silent commentary team. His bodyguard, Jordan Omogbehin, is in tow. We get video showing Styles defeating Riddle last week. AJ speaks in the ring before the match. He brags about being 2-0. "Two weeks, 2 & 0! I have dominated everyone who's stepped in that ring!" He then tells us that it's a return of a phenomena and then tells the booing "crowd" that they missed him. He then says what is on everyone's mind is "why is AJ Styles in a qualifying match?" He then insults the roster, calling them jokers in the back, and calls Adam Pearce a loser. He says he should be the captain of Team Raw. He goes on to run down Jeff Hardy, once again accusing him of using a knee brace as an illegal weapon in the ring to win AJ's IC title (he did, fyi). He starts to threaten Jeff, if Jeff tries to do anything, but is interrupted as Hardy makes his way to the ring. We then get still photos of Jeff Hardy taking on Elias last night and losing the match via DQ for using Elias' guitar against him.
Survivor Series Qualifying Match: Jeff Hardy vs AJ Styles w/ Jordan Omogbehin
Jeff Hardy makes his way down to the ring to loud cheers from the digital crowd. The bell rings and AJ strikes Hardy and takes first control of the match. AJ whips Hardy to the ropes but Hardy slides under the ropes. Hardy strikes AJ, knocking him back a few steps. AJ to the outside, and Hardy goes up top, looking to fly. Hardy takes off but is intercepted by Jordan, who holds him suspended in his arms as we go to commercial break. We return from break and both men are in the ring. Hardy comes off the ropes and Styles counters with a leaping kick to the back of Jeff's head, laying him out. AJ goes out onto the apron and holds his right hand up, adjusting his glove and calling for the Phenomenal Forearm. Hardy is slow to rise but quickly moves out of AJ's range. Both men clash in the middle of the ring, and Hardy shows off his still-highly athletic style, taking Styles down in style. Hardy sends Styles into the corner, then hits the handstand corner dropkick, covering Styles for a two. Both up to their feet, and Styles catches hardy in a fireman's carry, then drops Hardy and slams a knee into his back. Both men are slow up, and begin to exchange a sequence of blow and counter blow and dodge, culminating in Hardy hitting a side Russian leg sweep combo'd into a leg drop and gets a two. Hardy takes Styles to the corner and sits him on the top turnbuckle, then climbs up himself. Hardy sets up for the superplex but Styles slips out between his legs and takes Hardy's legs out from under him. AJ lifts Hardy up in a torture rack position, then twists him almost as if going for an F5...and lets go of Hardy, letting him fall all the way down to the mat. Style with a cover for two.
Hardy gets his second wind and avoids a pele kick, then takes Styles down for a two. Hardy sets Styles up, and starts up the corner until Jordan catches his attention. Hardy hesitates for a moment, then goes back up--only for Styles to quickly recover and take Hardy down hard, dropping Hardy on the apron and on his previously-injured knee. Styles and Hardy brawl on the apron. Hardy goes for a Twist of Fate but Style dodges it. Style sets Hardy up in the middle of the ring and springs himself through the air, nailing Jeff with the Phenomenal Forearm! Styles covers immediately and gets the three!
Your Winner, and First Member of Team Raw: AJ Styles!
After the Match: Elias Attacks
We get a series of replays as Tom Phillips fluffs AJ's Survivor Series record as Styles leaves. Hardy finally gets to his feet but is immediately hit with a guitar by Elias, splintering the six string. Elias is happy with himself and his new theme, "Amen (I'm Going In)" from his debut EP, plays him out.
Backstage w/ R-Truth
R-Truth is interviewed in the back about his match last night, in which he successfully defended his 24-7 championship, and asks if he's worried about others coming after his title and putting him in danger. He tells her that his middle name is Danger, and lists a few other names, and walks off as we go to a commercial break.
Match: Drew Gulak & Akira Tozawa vs Lucha House Party
So, Drew Gulak and Akira Tozawa are now a tag team apparently. As LHP (Lucha House Party) makes their way to the ring, we're treated to video of R-Truth's 24/7 match defense against Drew Gulak last night. R-Truth retained his title. Lince Dorado and Tozawa are starting things off.
Tozawa shows off an overly exaggerated martial arts form and punches Dorado, nailing him down. Tozawa immediately tags in Gulak, who uses his technical prowess as he drapes Dorado over his knee and shoves down on Dorado's shoulders and legs and presses his knuckles into Dorado's chest. Lince attempts to fight back but Gulak takes him down again. Suddenly, R-Truth's theme plays and he comes out. Tom Phillips announces "the champ is here!" 42-time 24/7 Champion R-Truth walks down to the ring and around it as the commentary team wonders what he's doing. His unintentional distraction allows Lince Dorado to springboard onto Gulak and pick up the win (special thanks to commentator Joseph Tancredi for catching my mistake!). Post match, Tozawa leaps from the ring and attempts to pin R-Truth, but he escapes; Gulak dives off the apron but Truth ducks down. Truth runs into the ring and Lince Dorado, Gran Metallik, Akira Tozawa and Drew Gulak all take turns rolling up Truth, up the ramp, none of them able to get the three. All four competitors run off to the back, chasing Truth.
Your Winners, Lucha House Party!
The Firefly Fun House
We return from break and go straight into the FFH. Kids cheer, Huskus the pig, Mercy the Buzzard, etc are eating. Wyatt comes in with a Mad Hatter-type outfit, going along with the cupcake, macaroons and tea cup theme. He welcomes a special guest, and Alexa Bliss joins him in a black and white diamond dress and her hair in pigtails. She tells them she made the tea and it has a special ingredient in it. Rambling Rabbit insults her and takes a long drink, then asks her what the special ingredient is. She giggles and tells him, "arsenic!" They all laugh as Rambling Rabbit dies in his effort to be killed off on screen more than Kenny from South Park. Wyatt tells her that it's okay, down here they're all mad. She claims she's not mad. Wyatt claims she has to be, to be there. We see Alexa Bliss bow her head, hear the usual Fiend effects and Bliss pops her head up. Her eyes are glowing via contacts and her demeanor and makeup have changed. She exclaims, "let him in" and we see flashes of the Fiend on the screen. She then changes back to how she looked a moment earlier. Bray does something similar. The screen goes red as Bray Wyatt sees that Rambling Rabbit is still alive, and he proceeds to beat Rambling Rabbit to death with it. After that, Bliss announces she's got a special treat as Randy Orton will be on A Moment of Bliss later on. They then end the segment as usual.
Halloween Havoc Promo
We get a promo for NXT: Halloween Havoc, which airs live this Wednesday, before going to break.
Backstage w/ Adam Pearce, Shayna Baszler & Nia Jax
Nia gives Adam a list of people she feels are the best candidates to be on the the Women's Team Raw Survivor Series team, as she's team captain. He tells her she's not the team captain. Shayna then pulls out her own list and gives it to Adam. She asks Nia if she was on Nia's list. Adam promises to take their lists and the names on them under consideration, then walks off. Nia tells him to let her know, the "team captain" know. Shayna asks Nia if she was on Shayna's list, and Nia asks "wouldn't you like to know?"
Survivor Series Qualifying Match: Keith Lee vs Elias
We return to the ring and Elias is seated on a stool in the ring with his guitar. He plugs his album, "Universal Truth," and lets us know that it's currently number two on iTunes charts. He then runs down Jeff Hardy, and tells us that he's going to kick Keith Lee's ass. He tells us to silence our cellphones, hold our applause, and--most importantly--shut our mouths. He starts playing a riff but is interrupted by Keith Lee, who comes out for their match. The bell rings and we get started.
Elias and Lee lock up, with Elias getting the upper hand momentarily by way of a shoulder block. Keith Lee grabs Elias' arms and manipulates them, demonstrating his strength as he easily keeps Elias locked up for a few moments. Elias escapes and goes off the ropes; Lee drops down and Elias leaps over, coming off the opposite ropes. Lee counters his momentum, however, by hitting a standing cross body that flattens Elias. Elias slips to the outside. Lee charges him but Elias sidesteps and sends Lee into the barricade. Elias gets on the apron to recover as Lee is slow to recover. Lee does, however, and throws Elias onto and across the announce table as we head to break.
Back from the break and Elias is being manhandled by Lee. Elias strikes Lee in the gut but Lee shrugs it off, and sets Elias up for the Spirit Bomb. Elias hammers Lee's face but that doesn't stop him. Lee executes the Spirit Bomb but Elias wiggles free and escapes it at the last second! Elias hits Lee hard, staggering the big man. Elias comes off the top rope with a flying clothesline and covers for a close two. He then proceeds to stomp away at Lee and covers for two, but Lee tosses Elias off of his chest to escape. Lee sits, and Elias rakes his face before locking in a side headlock. Elias tries to wear down the big man, but Lee quickly stands to his feet. Elias hangs on to Lee's hands, but Lee escapes. Elias runs and rebounds off the ropes but is caught and hit with a twisting power slam. Lee sends Elias into the corner and hammers him. He sends Elias into the opposite corner, and Elias fights out of it. Elias hits Lee with a neckbreaker and covers for a two. He then goes up to the top turnbuckle when Jeff Hardy's music plays, and Elias focuses up the ramp. Lee takes opportunity of the distraction and tosses Elias off the top. Lee then hits a very, very impressive Spirit Bomb (sit-out powerbomb) on Elias and covers for the win!
Your Winner, and Second Member of Team Raw: Keith Lee!
After the Match: Jeff Hardy Strikes
Commentary talks about Styles and Lee being the first two members for Team Raw, and that they're off to an impressive start. Jeff Hardy shows up behind Elias and nails him with a black acoustic guitar, slightly breaking it over Elias' back. Elias writhes in pain on the mat. Hardy kneels over Elias and talks smack to him, then says "amen" (a reference to Elias' song off his new album).
Backstage w/ the Hurt Business
The Hurt Business accost someone backstage and accuse him of using "their" bathroom. They laugh as he runs off and we go to commercial.
Video Package: McIntyre vs Orton
Commentary sends us to a video package that spotlighted McIntyre's match against Orton. We see Drew go through the announce table again, and we see him eat an RKO as he tried to hit a Claymore. Orton is now a 14-time champion.
Backstage w/ Charly Caruso & Randy Orton
Caruso asks Orton if he's worried about the Fiend making an appearance on A Moment of Bliss later this evening. Orton says he's the new WWE Champion, so he's not afraid of anyone and then threatens anyone who gets in his way.
Video Package: The Hurt Business & Retribution
We now get a video package that highlights the actions of Retribution as of late, and how the Hurt Business stood up to them. We hear MVP exclaim, "We're the Hurt Business and we don't run!" He plugs all four members--himself, Bobby Lashley, Cedric Alexander, and Shelton Benjamin. We see a clip from a few weeks ago, when the Hurt Business was attacked mid-match by a now-traitorous Ali. We then see Ali, now-leader of Retribution, cutting his promo about how the talent are being forgotten, and abandoned and their dreams have been left to die. So he promised them silly Mad Max gimmicks that would certainly make their dreams die, and "we shut you down!" Back to the ring.
8-Man Tag Team Elimination Match: The Hurt Business vs Retribution
Out first are the Hurt Business. MVP makes an announcement. He says that when Retribution first showed up on Raw, everybody fled and ran...except the Hurt Business, because they. Don't. Run. Lashley gets on the mic and says that Monday Night Raw is an asset of the Hurt Business, and Retribution is a liability. MVP jumps in and adds that "liabilities are bad for business." He then tells them that part of a good business is never doing anything for free, so he spoke to the higher-ups and informed them that they'll handle Retribution. And once they wreck Retribution, they want their payment. Shelton Benjamin chimes in, "and our payment is gold." They smile as Ali and Retribution make their way to the ring.
Reckoning (Mia Yim) stands at ringside by her Retribution companions.
Bobby Lashely and T-Bar (Dominick Dijakovic) start things off and lock up when the bell rings. Lashley proves the more powerful and pushes T-Bar into a corner. The ref begins to count, so Lashley lifts his hands off T-Bar. T-Bar and Lashley then begin slugging it out, around the ring and to the opposite neutral corner. Lashley climbs up and is sent off by T-Bar, who then hits a big boot and a few clubbing blows. T-Bar hits powerful elbow drops to Lashley's back. Both men go off the ropes and Lashley sends T-Bar to the mat with a big shoulder thrust. T-Bar is back up and brawls with Lashley into the corner. Lashley and T-Bar struggle, then Lashley hits a flatliner on T-Bar and sends him into the Hurt Business corner. MVP tags in and nails elbows and fists to T-Bar, then drives his face into the turnbuckle. MVP yells "Ali, you're gonna get what you got coming to you," and T-Bar takes advantage of this distraction by nailing MVP. T-Bar tags in Mace (Dio Madden). Mace hammers away at MVP and yells "this is for Slapjack!" He then tags in Slapjack (presumably Shane Thorne), who pummels MVP with fists. MVP is quick to take control, and hits a helluva kick on Slapjack in the corner and attempts a pin. Ali dives in to break it up, and hops back out the ring. Reckoning (Mia Yim) gets on the apron, starts scratching her arms and chest and yelling "get it off!" The ref and MVP are distracted as Reckoning does some decent acting and throws herself down to the mat. Slapjack takes advantage of this distraction and rolls MVP up, pinning him. MVP has been eliminated. Reckoning continues to roll on the mat, selling the invisible ants or whatever, and we go to a break.
We return from break and see that, during the break, Reckoning stood, checked her mask and hair and exited the ring, obviously faking the invisible ants, or so we're informed by Michael Cole. Lashley and Slapjack are countering moves in the ring until Lashley nails Slapjack with the spear, quickly pinning him. Slapjack has been eliminated. T-Bar hits the ring and immediately takes it to Lashley. Both big men spill out the ring and brawl up the ramp a bit and into the audience as the ref continues to count. They continue to brawl. Bobby Lashley & T-Bar have been eliminated by double count out. In comes Mace and Cedric Alexander. Alexander charges across the ring and leaps with a running forearm, but the bigger mace easily slams him down. Mace yells trash at Cedric and takes him into a corner, nailing fists and a running back elbow that downs Alexander. Alexander comes up fighting, but is immediately sent down by Mace. Mace stands over Alexander and drags him to the middle of the ring to prevent the tag to Shelton Benjamin. Alexander keeps trying to reach his partner but Mace slams him down in the Retribution corner. Alexander takes Ali off the apron with a blow, but Mace grabs him by the throat. Alexander escapes and goes for his corner, tagging in Benjamin--but Mace didn't see this. Mace focuses on Alexander until Benjamin comes in and suplexes him down, scoring the pin fall. Mace has been eliminated. The Hurt Business now have a 2-1 advantage as Shelton tags in Cedric and he takes it to Ali. Cedric Alexander takes control, and Ali eventually escapes to the outside. Ali grabs a steel chair and nails Alexander, getting himself disqualified. Ali has been eliminated by DQ.
Your Winners, the Hurt Business (2 Not Eliminated)
After the Match
The two eliminated members of the Hurt Business, MVP and Bobby Lashley, come to the ring to backup their partners just in case. They celebrate as they leave up the ramp.
Backstage w/ Angel Garza & Most of the Women's Locker-room
Angel Garza has a red rose and is trying to woo Mandy Rose. He asks her if she's still close to Otis. She comments she is still close, but it sound as if maybe they're writing that out. Angel says "hello, beautiful" to Nia Jax who arrives with Shayna Baszler. Nia tells him she doesn't have time for him, then talks to Rose/Brooks. Jax/Baszler ask Rose/Brooks who the hell they think they are to get a title shot. Rose/Brooks brag about how ever since they joined Raw a few weeks ago, they've been undefeated and they deserve a shot.
Match: Drew McIntyre vs the Miz w/ Morrison
Drew comes out first and we go to commercial. When we return, we're reminded that Elias' debut album is #2 on the iTunes Soundtrack Chart and is in the top 25 of the Top 200 Albums list. Drew awaits his opponents as we get yet more replays from earlier tonight, when the Miz & Morrison antagonized Drew until he flattened them. We then get replays from last night, when the Miz defeated Otis after Tucker turned on Otis and became the new Mr. Money in the Bank. The bell rings and we start things off as the Miz immediately goes for McIntyre's knee that he struck earlier. Drew was ready for it and counters it. Drew stomps away at Miz in the corner until his right knee hurts him. The Miz comes up fast to take control, but Drew immediately recovers and hits Miz so hard that he spills out to the floor. Drew follows outside and hits a very loud backhanded chop to the Miz's chest. The Miz causes Drew to be sent into the steel steps, hitting his right knee. Both men make their way into the ring and the Miz tries to capitalize on the former champ's knee. Miz fights off an attempt by Drew to take control, and hits a DDT for a two. The Miz tries to choke Drew on the ropes and the ref warns him off, setting up a distraction so Morrison can run along the ring side and hit a forearm. The Miz then takes his time working over the Scottish Psychopath.
McIntyre gets his second wind and launches Miz across the ring. He hits a few runnign strike and continues to level the Miz. He pulls the Miz up and sets up the Future Shock DDT, but Miz escapes. Morrison tries to bring the MitB briefcase to the apron as a weapon, but Drew catches him and hits a belly to belly. Drew grabs the briefcase and tosses across the arena. Drew hits the ring and both men come off the ropes, with Drew landing a Claymore out of nowhere! Drew covers and picks up the win.
Your Winner, Drew McIntyre!
Backstage w/ the New Day
Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston are decked out in red, wearing Street Profits outfits, shirts and with red solo cups. Kofi and Xavier proceed to mock the Street Profits, who will be their opponents at Survivor Series. We learn Asuka will take on Sasha Banks and Roman Reigns will take on Randy Orton at Survivor Series. Apparently Survivor Series will be Clash of Champions Lite. Asuka yelled "we want the smoke" as she helped the New Day mock the Street Profits. The Hurt Business show up and inform the New Day that they want their tag team championships. Kofi blows it off and starts a "New Day rocks" dance and chant as we go to commercial.
Backstage w/ Charly Caruso & Drew McIntyre
Charly asks Drew about Randy Orton and, to sum up, Drew said that Randy Orton is going to experience more than "a moment of bliss" later tonight.
Women's Team Raw Team Announced
Adam Pearce is in the ring with a ginger who wants to announce the women's team. First they announce Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler. Next, they announce Dana Brooke & Mandy Rose who come out and flex, then join the women's tag team champions in the ring. Our announce team loves this pick as both teams are undefeated in all three of their matches. They go to announce the fifth member but Nia interrupts. She calls the ginger "Pat Buck" and says that he should at least let the team captain announce the fifth and final member, "and that's me!" Nia and Shayna argue over who should be the captain. Adam Pearce tells them that he was just about to inform us that the fifth member will be one of these four women, who all come out as called to the ring: Lacey Evans, Peyton Royce, Nikki Cross (who has a vastly different, new theme) and Lana. He informs them that the match is a fatal four-way and it starts right now. All four women clash as we go to commercial break and their future partners watch from ringside.
Fatal Four-way Women's Team Raw Qualifying Match: Lacey Evans vs Lana vs Peyton Royce vs Nikki Cross
We return from the break and this match is well under-way. Peyton Royce and Nikki Cross are fighting in the ring. Peyton sends Cross down hard on her back and covers, only getting a two. She's upset and in much disbelief, and locks a chin lock on Cross, yelling for her to give up. Cross eventually fights out of it and gets to the apron. Royce tries to strike her, but Cross floors Royce with a right. Cross runs along the apron and takes out Lana, then takes Lacey Evans down at ringside. Cross goes all the way up top and hits the Cross Body on Royce, pinning for a close two. "Breaking News": Elias' album is now #1 instead of #2 on whatever sub-chart he's listed on for iTunes. Back to the match. Cross hits a suplex on Lacey Evans and attempts to cover her, but Royce breaks it up and takes Cross down. Royce hits a modified Gory Bomb but only gets a two. She takes Cross up to the top rope and seats her. Cross shoves off Royce. She shoves off Royce again, and Lacey runs up to try to take advantage. Royce comes back and hits a triple suplex, flattenign all three women. Lana quickly runs in and pins her downed competitors, and picks up the win.
Your Winner, and Fifth Member of Women's Team Raw, Lana! After the match, Lana celebrates and runs down to greet her four teammates. She hugs Nia and Nia won't let her go. Shayna clears off the top of the announcer's table and for the sixth time in a row, Jax puts Lana through the announcer's table.
Backstage w/ Charly Caruso & Randy Orton
Charly knocks on Randy's door and apologizes for bothering him. She asks if he saw Firefly Funhouse earlier, he answers yes. She asks him if he understands that was a threat, he says yes. He then tells her that he has no problem introducing the Fiend to the three most dangerous letters in the sports business, and lets us all know those letters are "R-K-O" in case we forgot.
Backstage w/ Retribution
Ali tells us that the good men and women standing beside him are ready to sacrifice everything for their mission. He says that they win when others suffer, and they will win because they decide when "you...get shut down!" I'm guessing they've not been wanting to shut anyone down lately.
Survivor Series Qualifying Match: Matt Riddle vs Sheamus
Matt Riddle comes out first to cheers and Sheamus comes out to massive boos as the introductions are made. We're reminded that this is a qualifying match for the Raw Survivor Series team. The bell rings and we start things off.
Matt Riddle immediately takes Sheamus down with a suplex to start things off. Sheamus leaves the ring and paces around the outside of the ring, visibly frustrated. He comes back in and both men circle before grappling up. Sheamus takes Riddle down with side toss and locks in a side headlock. Riddle tries to struggle out of it and Sheamus takes him back down to the mat, wrenching the head and slowing the pace. Riddle transitions it into a straight arm bar. Sheamus tries to escape by standing and Riddle transitions it into a triangle! Sheamus rope-breaks it.
Sheamus locks an arm bar on Riddle and hits a spinebuster when Riddle tries to escape. He works the arm for a few moments until Riddle picks up Sheamus and takes him down, then hits a gutwrench suplex. Both men rise and clash, but Riddle goes right back for a double wristlock. Sheamus hits the Irish Curse back-breaker, then drapes Riddle across the top rope. Sheamus sets Riddle up on the apron and hits the Ten Beats of the Bodhran. Riddle comes back in the ring and back drops Sheamus to the outside when he charges Riddle. Riddle leaps off the apron and takes Sheamus out on the ringside floor as we go to break.
We return from the break and see Sheamus with a head/neck submission locked on the King of Bros as the digital audience chants for Riddle. Sheamus converts it into an arm bar, but Riddle rises and escapes. Riddle runs off the ropes and Sheamus counters with a vicious back-breaker. Sheamus stomps at Riddle then pulls him up by his hair. He goes after Riddle's nose and the ref warns him (no clue why). Sheamus tries to slap on another hold but Riddle fights out of it with fists, then hits an overhead kick to the side of Sheamus' face. Sheamus is still standing, but Riddle takes him down and hits the Bro-ton for a very close two.
Riddle tries to take Sheamus down with forearms, but Sheamus counters with a forearm that stuns Riddle, and then runs in close to hit a knee strike that floors Riddle. Sheamus covers but only gets a two. Sheamus climbs the outside turnbuckles, but Riddle quickly runs up the ropes and slaps in a headlock! Riddle is looking for the superplex, but Sheamus shoves him off. Riddle hops back up and runs up the ropes again, this time hitting an exploder suplex off the top turnbuckle and covers for another close two! Riddle is in shock that he didn't pick up the win. We get a replay of the beautiful exploder suplex. Riddle climbs the ropes and goes off the top, looking for the Floating Bro but Sheamus gets his knees up! Riddle's back lands right across Sheamus' knees and he rolls and screams in pain in the ring. Sheamus comes over and attacks Riddle. Sheamus goes for another Irish Curse, but Riddle slips around and hops on Sheamus' back, locking in a sleeper! Sheamus runs backwards into the corner to knock Riddle off. Sheamus goes for the Brogue Kick but Riddle counters with a bridging German suplex for yet another close two! Riddle and Sheamus both come up, and Sheamus quickly nails a Brogue Kick out of nowhere and covers for the pin fall!
Your Winner, and Third Member of Team Raw: Sheamus!
A Moment of Bliss, feat. Randy Orton
We return from the break and the ring is already set up for A Moment of Bliss. A remix of Bliss' music plays. She welcomes us to a very special episode, and is dressed up in yet another girly outfit. She welcomes new WWE Champion Randy Orton to the ring. Randy walks down slowly as his music plays, showing no fear of the Fiend or Drew McIntyre. Alexa is still all smiles as he takes his sweet time.
Bliss tells Orton that he can take a seat, and she promises she won't buy. Orton replies, simply, "Nah." Bliss tells him to suit himself. She then asks him if he was surprised about the outcome of his match last night. Orton tells her that no, he wasn't surprised to be a fourteen-time champion. He asks her if she has a surprise for him? She smiles and says no, and goes on to talk about his match last night and how they burned...the house down. Orton replies, "and there it is. Burn the house down." He tells her that he knows the Fiend is close and asks her one last time where the Fiend is. Drew McIntyre runs down the ramp and begins slugging it out with Orton in the ring! Bliss laughs as McIntyre kicks Orton down into the corner, stomping a mudhole in him. McIntyre throws the props out the ring as Bliss sits on the top turnbuckle, laughing, reveling in the carnage. McIntyre sets up in the corner, readying a Claymore for Orton when the lights cut out.
After a very long pause, the arena is flooded with red light. The Fiend's screaming sound plays on loop, and the virtual audience has been replaced with the Fiend graphics. Orton is up the ramp and stares at McIntyre, who smiles back at him...and Orton's head slowly turns, as does the camera, to show the Fiend standing behind Orton! Orton slowly turns to look at Drew, and starts to slowly walk down the ramp. Drew hops out and confronts him on the ramp, and they begin slugging it out again as the Fiend stays at the top of the ramp, watching. The lights come up (to normal) and McIntyre beats Randy Orton around the ring. Orton throws McIntyre into the barricade. Both men begin slugging it out again. Drew gets the upper hand and slaps a chin lock on Orton, then throws him into the announcer's table. Orton gets his second wind and back drops Drew onto the announcer's table. He then climbs up and begins punching Drew in the head as our program ends.
In Closing
And we end without a MitB cash-in! We've had three champion-vs-champion matches announced for Survivor Series, all five members of the Women's Team Raw, and three of the five of the Men's Team Raw! Exciting night! Y'all stay safe out there and we'll see you back this Wednesday for NXT: Halloween Havoc!
