WWE News: John Cena To Wrestle Next Week, Cena Comments On Final Boston Match, State Declares John Cena Day

John Cena released the following statement on his final appearance in Boston as a member of WWE's active roster:

“Thank you Boston. It meant so much to be able, for one last time, to be allowed an opportunity to do what I love, in a place I love, surrounded by those I love,” Cena posted while sharing a brief clip of him holding the Intercontinental title.

“Our performances are only meaningful if YOU the audience invest in us and decide they are. The smile on my face and awe in my eyes in this small clip is an honest show of grateful disbelief & appreciation for all you’ve ever invested in me. Last night meant more than I can ever express. Thank you Boston.”

TD Garden also revealed today that November 10 was deemed "John Cena Day" in the State of Massachusetts, writing:

“It’s officially John Cena Day in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts! Huge thanks to @MassGovernor for the special recognition.”

With his final appearance in Boston in the books, next week will be John Cena's final appearance at New York's Madison Square Garden. To promote it, Netflix released a trailer in which they strongly suggested that Cena will be wrestling next week:

“This Monday night, witness the end of an era. John Cena takes center stage for his FINAL appearance ever on Monday Night RAW. One last match. One unforgettable farewell. Celebrate the legacy of a true WWE legend!”
