WWE News: Lesnar Teases Retirement, Roman Reigns To Wrestle Full-Time This Summer, Femi Challenges Reigns

Below are notable news and notes coming out of Night Two of WWE WrestleMania 42:

  • Oba Femi defeated Brock Lesnar in a relatively quick match. That wasn't the biggest moment of the match as following the defeat, a clearly emotional Lesnar removed his gloves and boots and left them in the ring. Lesnar also hugged his long time associate Paul Heyman, all of which seemed to suggest that he is retiring.
  • More titles changed hands on Night Two with Trick Williams defeating Sami Zayn to become the new United States Champion, Rhea Ripley overcoming Jade Cargill to become the WWE Women's Champion and finally, Roman Reigns dethroning CM Punk to win the World Heavyweight Title.
  • Following his victory over Brock Lesnar, a confident Oba Femi set his sights on Roman Reigns, hinting that a feud between the two could transpire towards the end of the year. Reigns, after his win over Punk, responded to the callout after fans started chanting Femi's name during the post by challenging the newcomer to step up this summer before he gets to Reigns himself.
  • Reigns also responded to fans chanting that he is a part-time wrestler by promising that he would be wrestling throughout the summer, essentially as a full-time talent.
