WWE Reportedly Planning Huge World Heavyweight Title Match For Later This Year

Following Night Two of WrestleMania 42, WWE seemed to plant the seeds for a big future feud between new World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns and Oba Femi, who defeated Brock Lesnar in short order and may have sent him to retirement. However, before that story starts, WWE may have another huge match lined up.

On a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that WWE's plans coming up are to have Roman Reigns as the new champion face Gunther, who himself recently emerged victorious against Seth Rollins. Meltzer claimed that this was WWE's direction as of the middle of last week.

As for when this match may happen, Meltzer speculated that he doesn't believe it will happen at Backlash but that SummerSlam could be a possibility.
