Last Monday night on RAW, WWE Women's Tag Team Champions Natalya and Tamina went up against Eva Marie and Doudrop in a Women's Tag Team Championship Contenders Match, which Natalya and Tamina won after a distraction by Lilly on the big screen. At one point during the match, Natalya and Doudrop were going at it, when all of a sudden Natalya injured her ankle after Doudrop hit her with some sort of a stomp or a roll-up.
It was then revealed that Natalya needed to undergo an MRI to fix the injury she suffered on RAW last Monday night, which she did. It was also revealed that the results were better than expected and that she is only expected to be out of in-ring action for a few weeks. It was then noted that the WWE will not strip Natalya and Tamina of their titles as Natalya will only be needing a few weeks to heal from her ankle injury.
Natalya recently took to her Twitter account and posted an x-ray of her injured ankle. Natalya posted the photo, with the caption, “IRON heart, GOLD belt, STEEL bones.”
An announcement was recently made that the WWE will be providing an update and addressing the Women's Tag Team Title situation on Monday Night RAW later tonight, and as things currently stand, Shotzi and Nox are the #1 Contenders to the WWE Women's Tag Team Titles.
