The Associated Press Picks Up on Kurt Angle’s Release From WWE

The news of Kurt Angle mutually parting ways with WWE has been picked up by the Associated Press, which means that it will be picked up by several newspapers and media outlets nationwide throughout the week.

The article reports that Angle is done with “entertainment wrestling” for now, but has not officially retired from the business. It confirms that Angle made his decision when a string of injuries which included an injury to his groin, a torn abdominal muscle, and injured hamstring all occurred at once during ECW’s August 13th House Show in White Plains, NY.

Featured in the article are comments from Angle who says that he needs to take time for his body to heal and they cover his career as an athlete competing in the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta.

It should be noted that Angle is the first WWE Superstar release ever to make a national newswire and it is obviously because of his legitimate athletic background from his Olympic accomplishments.
