At the upcoming WWE Hell in a Cell PPV Event, a colossal match has been set where we will see the WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns battle one-half of the SmackDown Tag Team Champions Rey Mysterio in a Singles Match. The matchup was made after Mysterio called Reigns out in the final segment of Friday's SmackDown due to Reigns attacking both his son Dominik Mysterio and himself on last week's show.
The segment began with Rey Mysterio challenging Roman Reigns to face him at Hell In a Cell inside the Hell in a Cell structure. Rey Mysterio would then attacked Reigns, which would lead to Dominik making his return and heading down to the ring to join the beatdown on Reigns. Roman Reigns would then fight both Rey and Dominik Mysterio and leave them laying at ringside as SmackDown went off the air.
There is no word yet on if Roman Reigns will defend his WWE Universal Title in the match, but updates will be provided as it becomes available.
The 2021 WWE Hell in a Cell PPV is set to take place on Sunday, June 20th from the WWE ThunderDome at the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida.
