Mason Rook, formerly known as Will Kroos, officially signed his WWE NXT contract during last Tuesday night's episode of NXT TV. He made his entrance with a theme song and video, before being confronted by the reigning WWE NXT Champion, Tony D'Angelo, prior to signing the contract.
Sharp-eared fans on Twitter (X) quickly recognized Rook's theme song, with one fan noting that it is "Grizzly" by Peter Jay Jordan. This particular song was previously used by Mason Ryan, who competed in WWE from 2009 to 2014. Ryan had a brief stint on the main roster, engaging in several high-profile matches, and was a member of the New Nexus. He has since retired from wrestling and joined Cirque du Soleil in 2016.
Next week, Rook is scheduled to team up with Kam Hendrix in a match against D'Angelo and WWE NXT North American Champion Myles Borne on the upcoming episode of WWE NXT.
