Report: TNA Wrestling Institutes More Rules Related To Slapping, Throat Slashing Gestures

Early this month, a report emerged that indicated that TNA had instituted an edict that would effectively ban all bleeding during matches but this was later clarified a few weeks later to indicate that while there was no hard ban, wrestlers were told to limit their use of intentional blood in instances that were meaningful. Now, it seems another big change has been passed down.

According to a fightfulselect.com report, TNA's talent relations department passed down a memo from higher up that indicated that "slaps" would no longer be allowed unless prior approval was obtained by a road agent. It was also noted in the emo that "throat slashing" was also going to be prohibited and that each instance of the rule being broken would result in a $100 fine.

A meeting within TNA was held last Saturday to discuss the changes while officials also expressed disappointment that not only news of the memo was leaked online but also the subsequent meeting discussing "the leak" was also leaked.
