Singh Brothers Deliver Statement On Twitter Following WWE Release

Following the latest round of releases in the WWE, among the fourteen most recent names added to the ever-growing list of departures, The Bollywood Boyz (Sunil Singh, Samir Singh) issued a statement via their mutual Twitter account.

The Singh brothers revealed in their statement that they received the news of their WWE release through a phone call that came in while the brothers were in the midst of training at the WWE Performance Center. The brothers stated the following:

“All the bumps, torn ACL’s, dislocated shoulders, it’s all been worth if for the last 5 years. And how ironic, we finished our last match with a shoulder hanging out of socket,” they wrote.

The Singh brothers then added the following statement regarding their release:

“It’s fitting we got fired while showing up for wrestling training – we love what we do, with a passion.”

The Bollywood Boyz last wrestled together on the May 21, 2021 edition of WWE 205 Live where the tag-team lost their match to opponents August Grey (who was also released today) and Ikemen Jiro. Sunil went on to wrestle in a singles match on June 4, 2021 where he lost to Ai Sterling. Sunil's final singles match took place on June 11, 2021 where he lost to opponent Grayson Waller, where Sunil suffered a shoulder injury during the match.

As previously announced, along with The Bollywood Boyz, the WWE also released the following 12 Superstars today – Killian Dain, August Grey, Tino Sabbatelli, Marina Shafir, Arturo Ruas, Curt Stallion, Fandango, Tyler Breeze, Ever-Rise (Chase Parker, Matt Martel), Tony Nese, Ariya Daivari for a total of 14 releases.
