WrestleMania 42, Night One Quick Recap

Matches Tonight: 7 Announced
  • Six-Man Tag Match: Austin Theory, Logan Paul & iShow Speed vs the Usos & LA Knight. Very short match that saw the Usos & Knight win> Post match, Paul attacked Speed; the Usos/Knight made the save and helped Speed put Paul through the commentary table with a frog splash. 6:16-6:22pm EST (post match shenanigans: 6:22-6:27pm EST).
  • Unsanctioned Match: Drew McIntyre vs Jacob Fatu. Fantastic match, exactly what you'd expect from these two. Fatu picked up the win. 6:38-6:52pm EST.
  • Women's Tag Team Championship Fatal 4-Way: the Irresistible Forces(c) vs the Bellas vs Bayley & Lyra Valkyria vs Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss. Due to injury, Nikki Bella cannot perform and is replaced by Paige. Brie Bella & Paige picked up the win and are the new champs. 6:13-6:21pm EST.
  • Women's Intercontinental Championship Match: AJ Lee vs Becky Lynch. Another very short, albeit solid, match that saw Lynch win and regain the title. 7:37-7:45pm EST.
  • Singles Match: Seth Rollins vs Gunther. As great as you'd expect. Gunther picked up the win via submission after a returning--and jacked--Bron Breakker interfered. 8:00-8:15pm EST.
  • Women's World Championship Match: Stephanie Vaquer(c) vs Liv Morgan. Thanks to interference by the Judgment Day, Liv Morgan won. 8:37-8:45pm EST.
  • Undisputed WWE Championship Main Event Match: Cody Rhodes(c) vs Randy Orton. Coming up.
