WWE Undisputed Champion Cody Rhodes suffered a nasty eye injury during his match against Randy Orton last night, and subsequently was tested for a concussion and ruled out of scheduled appearances on Sunday. In a small update, WWE noted last night that Rhodes continues to be not cleared for action following the "orbital injury" and that there is no timetable for his return. BodySlam had previously reported that Rhodes suffered multiple cuts, had his eye swollen shut and also required stitches.
Nikki Bella missed competing at WrestleMania this weekend after injuring her ankle last month. Originally believed to be minor in nature, Bella revealed on X that she will probably be sidelined 6-8 weeks while rehabbing the ankle. She shared earlier in the weekend that her ankle was sprained, torn and fractured causing her to actually undergo surgery. In Nikki's place, a returning Paige stepped in to win the WWE Women's tag team titles with Brie Bella so there is a natural storyline that will play out there once Nikki is back healthy.
